Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience and subculture that aims to prove the existence of entities from the folklore record, such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, Yeti, the chupacabra, the Jersey Devil, or the Mokele-mbembe. Cryptozoologists refer to these entities as cryptids, a term coined by the subculture.
Cryptozoologist Ken Gerhard joins us this week to discuss his new compendium of bizarre entity sightings ‘A Menagerie of Mysterious Beasts: Encounters with Cryptid Creatures‘.
Gerhard shares his childhood experience with the infamous Minnesota Iceman exhibit that had two legendary zoologists convinced of its flesh and blood reality. We also get an update on the latest ‘Flying Crpytid’ reports and hear his take on the controversial ‘Supernatural Sasquatch’ question.
We review the story of 64 year-old lawyer and former assistant attorney general Terry Lovelace who’s traumatic memories of ‘The Devil’s Den’ in Arkansas were suddenly brought back into his life after discovering a strange metal implant in his leg.
In our Plus+ extension we look at the Texas Terror Zone, Big Thicket wildmen, and the shapeshifting base form of cryptozoological creatures.
With the news of the full JFK files release being delayed yet again, we decide to look at the conspiracy from a new angle, the assignation’s link to secret underground laboratories and weaponised Monkey Viruses!
We then dive into the lakes of Michigan to encounter the elusive entity that seems to be a bizarre Bigfoot/Reptilian hybrid.
After discussing the new schism in the “StarSeed” community we move onto premonitions of death from Gurus, floating cycle-driven glowballs, and showers of phantom pebbles.
We then break the emergency glass on Nick Redfern’s new book and return to more strange MIB tales.
Diving into the darkest territories to hunt down the oddest books and manuscripts ever written we discuss some of the stories surrounding these unusual tomes. This points us in the direction of a strange secret society that is claimed to have created Masonic traditions as a decoy.
Then in our Plus+ extension we hear some of the most recent encounters with Yowies coming out of Australia, chat about nuclear installation UFO interference and indulge in the story of a Dogman guardian said to be hiding in remote Australian forests.
